Women in Opaskwayak Cree Nation will soon have access to breast cancer screening closer to home.

 

The Northern Health Region is reminding eligible residents that the CancerCare Manitoba BreastCheck mobile screening clinic will be at the Beatrice Wilson Health Centre from August 31st through September 2nd.

 

The mobile clinic provides screening mammograms for women between the ages of 45 and 74.

 

Appointments are required and space is limited.

 

Anyone eligible is encouraged to book by calling the Beatrice Wilson Health Centre at 204-627-7410.

 

 Regular breast cancer screening can help detect cancer early, when treatment is often more effective.
