The Canadian Mental Health Association for the Thompson Region says community donations are helping its homeless outreach mentors continue supporting people experiencing homelessness in Thompson.

 

The mentors provide hygiene products, connect people with transitional housing resources, and help residents access programs and services throughout the community.

Iris Chan, Education and Training Coordinator with the Canadian Mental Health Association for the Thompson Region, says those efforts are made possible through support from Charlie’s Thrift Store donors.

 

 

In addition to its outreach program, CMHA also operates the Connections Clubhouse, which offers weekday drop-in hours and activities designed to help residents build social connections and learn new skills.

 

Chan says continued community support allows the organization to provide a range of mental health programs and services throughout Thompson.
