On July 16, 2026, at 9:49 pm., Thompson RCMP were dispatched to a fight in progress outside a business on Public Road.
Officers from the Thompson Crime Suppression unit as well as General Duty responded immediately and were updated that the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, while a male victim left the scene with minor injuries in a taxi after spraying the others with bear mace.
Patrols were conducted and the suspect vehicle was located in the parking lot of a separate business with four occupants.
Open alcohol was observed inside the vehicle in plain view and all individuals; 3 males and 1 female were arrested.
A subsequent search of the vehicle produced a large amount of Canadian currency, a scale, five smart phones as well as bear mace.
Draiden McDonald, 25, from Nelson House, who also had an outstanding warrant of arrest, was remanded and charged with:
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose;
- Assault with weapon; and
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Hayden Duvall 19, from Winnipeg, was remanded and charged with following:
- Fail to comply probation order;
- Carrying concealed weapon;
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose;
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; and
- Assault with weapon
A 39-year-old female from Thompson, and 19-year-old Heston Parisien from Nelson House, each face charges of Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and Assault with a weapon.
Parisien faces additional charges of Fail to comply with release order x3 and was remanded into custody.
The female was released on an Undertaking.
Thompson RCMP continue to investigate.
