Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak is recognizing the organizations that helped ensure Sayisi Dene First Nation members could safely return home following the Nation’s recent state of emergency.

In a social media post, MKO says the RCMP in Manitoba worked alongside Perimeter Aviation to provide enhanced security screening and support a safe departure for community members travelling home.

Grand Chief Garrison Settee also thanked MKO staff and emergency partners for their commitment to caring for residents throughout the emergency response.
