The Thompson Chamber of Commerce says the proposed Thompson Port Corridor Task Force is about making sure the city is ready if major northern trade projects move forward.

 

Recent federal and provincial announcements have pointed to upgrades around the Port of Churchill, the Hudson Bay Railway, critical minerals, energy, and northern supply chains.

 

Chamber Board President Jason Fryza says Thompson is not just watching that conversation from the sidelines.

 

 

Fryza says the Chamber is now looking for feedback from the presentation as it considers next steps.
