Thompson RCMP investigating Aggravated Assault
On September 16, 2025, at 5:00 pm, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion at an address located on Princeton Drive.
Officers immediately responded to the scene and located two victims, a 33-year-old male with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and a 29-year-old female with minor physical injuries. The 33-year-old was transported to hospital and later flown to Winnipeg for further treatment.
Officers were advised that six individuals had broken into the home and assaulted the male victim with a machete and a baseball bat. The suspects caused damage within the property and then fled the scene on foot.
Patrols made in the area led to the arrest of two males, a 22-year-old male from Winnipeg and a 23-year-old male from Thompson. The other suspects were not located.
The 22-year-old, Christopher Dumas, was charged with Breaking and entering, Aggravated assault w/ a weapon & Aggravated assault. He was remanded into custody. The 23-year-old male was later released without charge as it was determined he had no involvement.
