A 33-year-old Shamattawa man has been  arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder in the death of another man in the community.

Late Monday night,  Shamattawa RCMP received a report of a stabbing at a residence.

Officers arrived at the Nursing Station, where the 35-year-old victim had been transported, and learned he had died.

On Wednesday, Michael Mander Redhead, 33, was arrested and charged.   He remains in custody.

The victim and the accused were known to each other and both lived in Shamattawa.

The investigation continues.
