A 20-year-old man is in custody after a shooting incident late last Tuesday evening.

People using the basketball courts on Thompson Drive were shot at by a man with an air pistol, with one man being struck in the face by a BB pellet.

Witnesses were able to identify what the suspect was wearing and which direction he headed.

Police located the suspect in the Goldeye area and when he was pursued, he shot and struck an officer several times.

A conducted energy weapon was deployed and the suspect was taken into custody.

A woman who had been with Linklater was also taken into custody. She was released with a court date.

Keenan Linklater is charged with assault and weapons offenses.  He also had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest for a previous robbery matter that occurred in 2022.
