A serious collision between a vehicle and ATV in Shamattawa Friday evening, sent one boy age 11 and two boys age 13 to hospital in Winnipeg.
A vehicle with four occupants, two adults and two children, collided with an ATV, driven by one of the 13-year-olds, with two passengers.
The three youths riding on the ATV sustained serious injuries.
RCMP officers, who were the only first responders at scene, provided life-saving medical assistance to the youths.
With the help of bystanders, all three were transported to the nursing station and then were flown to Winnipeg for further treatment.
The driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old male, and passenger, a 21-year-old female, were not injured. The two children in the vehicle, boys aged 9 and 10, suffered minor injuries and were taken to the nursing station.
Shamattawa RCMP continue to investigate.
