Early Tuesday morning, Thompson RCMP received a report from a First Nation Safety Officer about a man in possession of a firearm and uttering threats in Northlands Denesuline First Nation.

It was reported that a 23-year-old man had threatened a woman along with several other community members, and shots had been fired into the air.

There were no reported injuries.

The Emergency Response Team was deployed along with Thompson RCMP and the man was taken into custody without incident.

Brent Inglis, 23, of Thompson is facing numerous charges.  

He was remanded into custody.
