The Thompson and Area Pet Care Community Co-operative is looking for support.
Ainslee McLaughlin, co-Vice chairperson, says that there are many ways people can help.
“As always, donations, active volunteerism, and active board membership. We want to see people out in the community supporting and attending our fundraisers and events. Lending skills to the board if we have anyone out there who may have some background in graphic design.”
The co-operative’s aim is to have full-time veterinary service available for northern pet owners.
Currently, those services are provided by the city’s only veterinarian with help from locums.
The group will be holding an event in McLean Park on August 10th where they intend to provide more information to the community about their work.
Catch the interview with McLaughlin this afternoon at 12:40 and 5:10 on Thompson Today.
