Late Saturday night, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of an employee being assaulted at a business here in Thompson.
One of the suspects had been observed brandishing a handgun while threatening other employees. The suspects then entered a vehicle and fled the scene.
The employee was transported to hospital where he was treated and released.
Officers located the suspect vehicle a short distance away on Nelson Road and arrested the five suspects without incident. A search of the suspects led to the seizure of a large sum of cash but the firearm was not recovered.
Delson Acoby, 20, from Winnipeg, and Kash Morris, 18, from Thompson, face various charges and both were remanded into custody.
A 22-year-old man of no fixed address was also charged and released for a court date in August in Thompson.
The two other males were later released from custody without charge.
Thompson RCMP continue to investigate.
