The City of Thompson advises residents that the sports field and outdoor track in the area next to the TRCC will become an active construction site this week.
Penn-Co Construction was set to start fencing off the site where the new Thompson Regional Aquatic Centre will be built as of yesterday.
The sports field and outdoor track will no longer be accessible to the public once this work begins.
In the meantime, the City of Thompson is looking for suitable locations to develop an equivalent outdoor track.
