On May 22, 2023, as a result of an ongoing investigation into the theft of a firearm, Oxford House RCMP conducted a search of a residence in the community and recovered several firearms, one of which had been reported stolen on April 26.

The search of the home led to the arrest of two males and the recovery of three firearms, a pellet gun and several rounds of ammunition.

As a result of this investigation, Charles William Sinclair, 33, was remanded into custody on numerous firearms-related offences. The second suspect, a 24-year-old male, was later released for court scheduled August 11, 2023, in Oxford House where he will also face numerous firearms-related offences.

Oxford House RCMP continue to investigate.
