On August 28, 2021, at 6:10 pm, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of two children, a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old, having been struck by a vehicle on Station Road in Thompson.

The driver of the suspect vehicle, who attempted to flee the scene on foot, was apprehended by bystanders who had witnessed the collision.
