Mall of the Arts continues to provide virtual programming during COVID-19 pandemic

The Thompson Mall of the Arts is continuing with its virtual programming as it looks to further cement itself in the local arts and culture scene.

Co-founder Andria Stephens says since the beginning of this year, the Mall of the Arts has been working with partners both locally and provincially to bring virtual creative workshops to northern youth.

Stephens adds they’re anticipating providing online programming until the end of the summer.

She says the Mall of the Arts is continuing with the process to get a physical space for their art centre, and states the workshops have been a major part in helping them pitch what they want the centre to be.

The Mall of the Arts has more programming on the way, including a free virtual upcycling workshop for youth this weekend.
