Province reports five new COVID-19 cases and one death in the North

Manitoba public health reported 186 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon, bringing the five day test positivity rate to 7.5 percent. 

 

They also reported three new deaths, with one each in the Northern Health Region, which was a woman in her 20s, Winnipeg and Southern health regions.

 

Of the new cases, 124 are in the Winnipeg region and 27 in Prairie Mountain, with lower numbers in other regions. That includes only five in the Northern Health region. 

 

Of the total 38, 211 reported cases, 2, 206 are active and 35,034 individuals have recovered.  A total of 1, 688 variants of concern cases have been reported, with 656 active and 47 reported in the Northern Health Region. There are currently eight active cases in the Thompson/Mystery Lake District.
