COVID-19 outbreaks declared over at facilities in Flin Flon and Thompson

Manitoba public health reported 203 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon, bringing the five day test positivity rate to six percent. 

 

They also reported one additional death in the Prairie Mountain health region. 

 

Of the new cases 138 are in the Winnipeg region, 27 in Prairie Mountain, and 25 in Northern health with lower numbers in other regions.

 

The number of active cases reported in the Thompson/Mystery Lake District is 10. 

 

The outbreaks at the Flin Flon Personal Care Home and the Grassroots Early Learning and Child Care Centre in Thompson have been declared over. 

 

Of the total 36,470 reported cases, 1, 783 are considered active and 33,727 individuals have recovered. 

 

The total reported variants of concern stands at 774, with 238 active and 18 cases have been reported in the Northern health region.
