A Thompson teen is in police custody follow an assault.

 

On April 6 at approximately 9:00 pm, Thompson RCMP received a report of a stabbing in progress at an apartment complex on Nickel Road.

 

When officers arrived on scene, there was a weapon found on the floor in the hallway of the apartment building, which was immediately seized.

 

Officers located the victim inside one of the apartments. A 54-year-old female from Thompson was found with multiple injuries, and officers began performing CPR until EMS arrived on scene.

 

Investigation led police to an apartment complex on Princeton Drive, where another disturbance involving the suspect was in progress. A 17-year-old female was arrested for Assault with a Weapon, but the charge was later upgraded to Aggravated Assault. She remains in custody.

 

The victim is in stable condition at this time.
