On March 18, 2021, at approximately 4:15 pm, RCMP responded to a stabbing on Churchill Drive, in Thompson.
The 23-year-old victim had been stabbed by an unknown male at a different location and had walked to Churchill Drive. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP officers located the scene of the stabbing in front of a business on Mystery Lake Road, in Thompson. Surveillance video was obtained and officers were able to identify the suspect.
A short time later officers located the suspect and he was arrested without incident.
Darren Cook, 32, of Thompson has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Uttering Threats, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Failing to Comply x4. He was remanded into custody.
Thompson RCMP continue to investigate.
