Families of Westwood School students were notified earlier this week of a possible COVID-19 exposure in the building.
A letter from the Northern Health Region’s Medical officer of Health Dr. Michael Issac explains the individual who tested positive for the novel coronavirus was at the school last Nov.16-20 when they may have been infectious.
However, Public Health says their medical investigation determined the risk of exposure to be low, and anyone identified as a close contact will be informed by Public Health.
The letter goes on to say that Westwood School will remain open.
