Manitoba 211 launches phone line service

Manitoba 211 has launched their phone service beginning yesterday, making it even easier for people to get the help and support they need.

United Way Winnipeg’s President and CEO Connie Walker says Manitoba 211’s online service has been in place since 2017, and that the expansion to the phone service was made possible thanks to funding from the federal government.

Walker says people can call with any kind of health or social service needs such as mental health and addictions, housing, homelessness, and employment.

For more information on the new 211 phone line service, you can call 2-1-1, visit mb.211.ca, or catch Thompson Today at 12:40 and 5:10 this afternoon.
