A flight from Thompson to Shamattawa First Nation crashed into a snow bank yesterday evening after it veered off the runway.
According to a statement by Perimeter Aviation, the flight left Thompson without any issues, and had a safe landing at around 5 p.m.
During the landing rollout as the plane as slowing down, the aircraft veered into the right side of the runway and into a snow bank.
The eleven passengers and two crew members were not injured in the crash.
Perimeter says it’s planning to visit Shamattawa as soon as possible to provide an update to the community, its leadership, and the passengers.
