A 31-year-old woman from Thicket Portage is in custody following a stabbing on New Year’s Day.

The Thompson Rural RCMP detachment was dispatched to the community on Wednesday morning after 5 a.m.

The stabbing resulted in the victim being taken to Thompson General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault and multiple breaches of a court order.

The investigation is ongoing.
