More details have emerged regarding Tuesday morning's train derailment near Portage La Prairie.
The train involved in the accident was a Via Rail train traveling from Churchill to Winnipeg.
The train was traveling about 100 kilometres per hour before derailing at around 6:45 a.m.
Emergency crews attended to the train’s occupants, and no one appeared to be seriously injured.
The train’s two locomotives and one car came off the line.
The exact cause of the derailment is not known at this time.
