One man from Split Lake is in custody following a weapons complaint.
Thompson RCMP responded to the complaint on Nov. 29, as First Nations Safety Officers in Split Lake reported a man had shot a firearm at a residence.
As a result of the dispatched information and initial evidence gathered by investigators, the community school, nursing station and band office were requested to initiate their lockdown procedures.
Multiple Thompson detachment members attended the community and the suspect, 29 year-old Sean Alfred Spence of Split Lake, was arrested without incident at a residence in the community.
Spence was found in possession of an air rifle, and faces multiple weapons offences.
