Ownership of Grace Lake Airport transferred to Mathias Colomb Cree Nation

The Manitoba government is entering into an agreement with Beaver Air Services Limited Partnership, Missinippi Management, and Mathias Colomb Cree Nation on the sale of the Grace Lake Airport.

Premier Brian Pallister stated that the transfer of the Grace Lake Airport to a community based company owned and operated by a first nation’s entity means the real benefits of this agreement will stay in the community for a long time.

He noted that the government believes strongly in MCCN, their companies and their ability to continue to bring real economic benefits to the people of their community.

MCCN Chief Lorna Bighetty thanked the Manitoba Government for the opportunity to ensure that the ownership remains in the community.

They look forward to continuing to work with the government and their partners to keep economic benefits of this agreement at home.
