Next week is the deadline for you to nominate people, or events, for a Northern Manitoba Tourism Award.
Colin Ferguson, the president and CEO of Travel Manitoba, tells Arctic Radio News about the different awards up for grabs this year.
He says that there are five categories; innovation of the year, Indigenous tourism, event of the year, a partnership award and an award of distinction for an ambassador in the area.
Ferguson says that not only can people or an event be nominated in more than one category, but you can also nominate yourself.
He adds that nominations are confidential so if you believe you’ve got a great product and haven’t been nominated, you can put your own name forward.
The nomination deadline is April 10th.

The awards will be handed out on April 24th at the Kikiwak Inn in The Pas.
