Two people from Split Lake are facing charges following a drug bust in Split Lake.

 

Thompson RCMP executed a search warrant late last week in Split Lake, which resulted in the seizure of 32 grams of cocaine, five rifles, four shotguns and ammunition.

 

Officers also found two pellet guns and a hollowed-out pop can, which they believe is used to transport the narcotics.

 

55-year-old Baptiste Brightnose and 20-year-old Bruce Brightnose each face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm and multiple counts of careless use of a firearm.

 

The investigation, being conducted by members of the Thompson RCMP detachment, is ongoing.
