If you know an outstanding volunteer, now is the time to speak up; nominations for the 2019 Premier’s Volunteer Service Award are now open.
The award is meant to honour those who inspire the spirit of volunteerism in local communities, and past nominees have been involved in many different areas such as sports, arts, the environment and social services.
In addition to the award, there is a special youth category to recognize young Manitobans who have made exceptional volunteer contributions within their schools, organizations or communities.
Nominations need to be submitted by February 8th, and you can find the papers here.
All nominees receive a certificate of recognition, as well as public acknowledgement of their efforts.
