One person is dead and another is in hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Norway House.

The driver, a 29-year-old woman from Thompson, was thrown from the vehicle following the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 33-year-old passenger was found at the scene with his seatbelt still on.

The RCMP say that not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol played a factor in the incident

The investigation is ongoing.
