Nelson House and Thompson RCMP were called to a single-vehicle collision approximately 30 kilometres south of Nelson House.

The accident, which happened on Provincial Road 391, was caused when the vehicle crossed the median, hit snow and flipped into the ditch.

A 45-year old male passenger from Leaf Rapids was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining passengers and the driver, all from Nelson House and Thompson were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 27-yar old from Nelson House was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation Causing Death and Impaired Causing Bodily Harm. He remains in custody.

The death was Manitoba’s 102^nd death on the Manitoba highways this year.
