The YWCA held their 7th annual Walk a Mile fundraising event on September 10th and the final results have come through.
Just under $10,000 were raised for the YWCA Women's Centre and services. 39 people took place in the walk that went around the YWCA. The top walker raised $4,006.
Vale donated $1,000 and USW local donated $100 to the YWCA. Added fund were picked up from 50/50 and canteen sales.
Women's Program Coordinator Nina Cordell thanks everyone for the support and is excited to for next year's event.
