Over the past weekend, RCMP in conjunction with North District CREST and StreetReach initiated Project Home Deliver.
Project Home Deliver was intended to target suspected offenders that may have been harbouring children for the purposes of exploitation. Over the two days, 14 children were located and brought home.
All of the kids were at the addresses voluntarily, and Inspector Kevin Lewis says there is no problem with children leaving group homes as long as they aren't getting in illegal situations.
Thompson RCMP and StreetReach checked on the well-being of 61 children over the weekend.
This isn't the first time Project Home Deliver has been completed in the province. Brandon RCMP used the same Project.
