Residents are getting together today to promote child safety.
Community organizer Mandy Fisher tells us about the event: "The event itself is going to be held at the Boys and Girls club, or at least that’s the staging place for it, on Monday, May 4th from 4 until 7pm. Parachute in cooperation with Vale has worked with the boys and girls club and other community partners to organize a community bike ride and BBQ".
The theme of this year’s safe kids week is cycling and road safety.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
