A bathing suit and some nerves. That’s about all you need to be part of the Thompson Springboard Diving Club. Active for about 20 years until 1996, there is a move to restart the Diving Club.
Rod MacLean, a former member of the group, has tried to get the club reactivated over the years, but hasn’t been successful in finding coaches. Now a couple individuals have expressed interest in taking the training to become coaches and that means good news for the club’s prospects.
MacLean is holding a meeting this Thursday at 7 pm at the Norplex Pool to determine the level of interest from athletes and parents.
