OCN Falls To Neepawa

The OCN Blizzard came up short last night in their attempt to capture fourth in the MJHL standings as they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Neepawa Natives.

Blizzard forward Tony Apetagon, who put up 102 points in 34 games last year with the OCN Storm, opened up the scoring near the end of the second period with his 14th goal of the season. The OCN lead wouldn't last long, as Zach Johnson responded for Neepawa just over a minute later to send the game into the third period tied at one.

Ashton Anderson and Nolan Richards would each put one past Blizzard goaltender Emilien Boily in the first 10:00 minutes of the third period to give Neepawa the lead, and the win.

The Blizzard will play again tonight as they host the Winkler Flyers. The last time the two teams met, the Blizzard put 5 past Flyers goalie Troy Martyniuk in a 5-2 win. Puck drop tonight is scheduled for 7:00pm at the GLMC.
