The OCN Blizzard dropped two of three over the weekend.
The Blizzard opened the weekend in Selkirk, playing back-to-back games Friday and Saturday night. The series-opener ended early in overtime as Nat Halvorsen potting his second of the season for the Steelers who came out on top 5-4.
OCN would skate away with a 5-4 win in the Saturday affair. Anthony Keeper and Thomas Hansell would lead the way for the Blizzard, scoring two goals a peice. Dorian Laganiere picked up his fourth win of the season.
The Blizzard then travelled to Steinbach to take on the Pistons in a Sunday night affair. It was a night to forget for the side from OCN as Braden Purtill, who spend parts of four seasons in the WHL with the Tri-City Americans and Red Deer Rebels, scored four en route to a 5-0 win for the Pistons.
The Blizzard next play Friday as they host the Winnipeg Blues at the G.L.M.C.
