Garrison Settee will serve a second term as Grand Chief of Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak.
73 votes were cast by chiefs, councillors, and headmen of MKO Nations, with Settee winning by a vote of 58 to 15 against Ken Bighetty of Mathias Colomb Cree Nation.
Settee says he’s extremely thankful the leadership voted him for a second term, and looks forward to advocating for MKO First Nations over the next three years.
The voting took place during the organization’s annual general assembly in Norway House Cree Nation, which wrapped up yesterday.
