With March being Fraud Prevention Month, the Thompson RCMP is reminding residents to be aware of potential scams.
Constable Sandy Deibert says fraud-related crime happens everywhere, and causes thousands of Canadians to lose millions of dollars.
Deibert says scams people should watch out for include calls from asking for money, social insurance numbers, and credit card information.
Victims of fraud should report the incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
