Public Health orders will see stronger enforcement in Manitoba.

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister has thanked all Manitobans doing the right thing to keep themselves and others safe from COVID-19.

He noted there are still those who are not so there are going to be consequences explaining over the weekend the Manitoba government deployed a team of provincial employees province wide and they were dedicated to enforcing public health orders.

He said that team had more than 225 interactions with a wide variety of businesses or organizations and individuals and in all 32 tickets were issued across Manitoba last week which is triple the previous week.

Pallister reported the province has signed a contract with G4S Canada to boost public health enforcement efforts.  They will provide upwards of 90 personnel to bolster the compliment of provincial and municipal employees enforcing public health orders.
