Red tape, or the rules and regulations that appear unnecessary and to cause delays, have a big price tag here in Manitoba.
That’s according to Jonathan Alward, from Canadian Federation of Independent Business, who spoke to Arctic Radio News about the different forms that red tape comes in. He added that red tape costs in the neighbourhood of $350M annually in Manitoba.
The CFIB’s 10th annual Red Tape Awareness Week kicks off Monday, and Alward joins 102.9 CHTM for a special Thompson Today series which will air Monday and Tuesday.
Both parts will be available online by clicking here the day after they air.
