You can expect to see a new sign welcoming you to Thompson in the fall.

Following the City’s new branding being displayed on their website and elsewhere, City Hall has deemed this the right time to give the welcome signs an upgrade; the first one in at least 40 years.

The City of Thompson’s communications officer, Kacper Antoszewski, says that while the existing structure for the signs will stay in place, the signs will feature the new logo and lettering as well as a visual reference to NCN.

Antoszewski added that there are also plans to upgrade signage at various City buildings, such as the ski trails and landfill.

Work on the sign upgrades is currently set to take place this summer, though the cost of the work has not yet been determined.
