Two men were scheduled to appear in court yesterday following a stabbing in the Eastwood area.

Thompson RCMP received a report of a stabbing at a building on Princeton Drive Tuesday evening, and officers were dispatched to the scene just before 9:00pm. When they arrived, one man was taken into custody while another was transported to the hospital.

The man, a 23-year-old from Oxford House, was arrested on charges of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The victim, a 20-year-old man from Gods Lake Narrows, was treated for injuries at Thompson General Hospital. Upon his release from hospital, the man was arrested on multiple charges; two counts of failing to comply with and undertaking and one count of failing to comply with a probation order.
