Two men have been arrested and charges against them are pending after RCMP and Thompson Fire and EMS responded to an assault call.
Last Saturday, January 5th, officers from the Thompson RCMP detachment responded to a call about a man with a machete on Ashberry Place.
After arriving at the scene, Mounties arrested a 27-year-old man.
A second man, also in his 20’s, was taken into custody a short time later for assaulting RCMP officers and medical services personnel.
The second man is believed to be the original victim of the assault that brought first responders to the area.
