The cost of your car or truck will also go up in March, when Manitoba Public Insurance’s one point eight percent increase takes effect.

Landlords will also be able to up your rent even more this year, as they are now allowed to raise your rate by 2.2%, up almost a full percentage point from last year.

Manitoba Hydro has also applied for a 3.5% rate increase, which if approved would come into play in April.
