The Thompson Local News

Tomorrow is International Women's Day.

To mark the day, the YWCA, in partnership with the Thompson Crisis Centre, is hosting a come-and-go event between 1:00pm and 4:00pm.

Nina Cordell, the Women's Program Coordinator with the "Y" here in Thompson, spoke to 102.9 CHTM and explained what will be going on.

She said that this will be an informal open house and that they'll be providing coffee, tea, water and bannock muffins

Cordell added that everyone is also welcome to join in the moose hide activity by making their own moose hide pin to show support in ending violence against women and girls.

This is their own version of the nation-wide Moose Hide campaign (www.moosehidecampaign.ca)
