Thompson policy resolutions passed at Manitoba Chamber AGM

The Manitoba Chamber of Commerce AGM was in Brandon earlier this month.

President of the Thompson Chamber, Keith McDonald was in attendance and brought forward two policies on behalf of the chamber.

One policy calls for the provincial government to advocate for Manitoba to return to the top 10 for mining exploration and development in the world. The second policy recognizes the need for services to be delivered in the regions they serve as opposed to central locations.

McDonald was happy to report that both policies were passed, and the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce will be moving forward with both issues.

During the AGM, Merv Gunter from Churchill was chosen as the new chairperson for the Manitoba Chamber. McDonald says it will be nice to have a representative who knows Northern issues.
