Northstars face weekend games without Coach Korman

The Norman Northstars host the Yellowhead Chiefs this weekend.

 

First game is tomorrow at 7:30. They play again on Sunday at 1:30.

 

The Northstars will be without Coach Doug Kroman this weekend, who received a 4 game suspension last week for game misconduct.

Two losses for the Norman Wild

The Norman Wild hosted the Winnipeg Avros and the Eastman Selects over the weekend.

 

On Saturday they lost to the Avros 3-1. Sunday was another loss for the Wild, losing 5-3.

 

Their next game is on Saturday, when they face the Yellowhead Chiefs.

No wins on the road for Northstars

The Norman Northstars are still winless this season after losing on the road over the weekend.

 

They lost back to back games against the Kenora Thistles 6-2, and 7-2.

 

The Winnipeg Thrashers blanked the Northstars 4-0 on Saturday.

 

Yesterday they wrapped up their road trip, losing 7-2 to the Interlake Lightning.

Four game road trip for the Northstars this weekend

The Norman Northstars have their first game on the road today. 

 

They face the Kenora Thistles tonight and tomorrow.

 

On Saturday they’re in Winnipeg playing against the Thrashers.  

 

Sunday is their last game for the weekend when they go head to head against the Interlake Lightning.

Norman Wild lose in back to back games against Central Plains Capitals

The Norman Wild hosted the Central Plains Capitals over the weekend.

 

On Saturday the Capitals walked away with a win, 5-2. In game 2 for the teams, the Capitals blanked the Wild 2-0.

 

The next game for the Wild is on Friday against the Pembina Valley Hawks.

Norman Northstars lose on the road

The Norman Northstars weren’t able to get a win over the weekend.

 

On Friday they were dominated by the Centrals Plains Capitals 12-3,  on Saturday they kept the game tied during the first and second period but Parkland Rangers scored in the third, winning 6-3. Yesterday they faced the Southwest Cougars who beat the Northstars 6-2.

 

The next game for the Northstars is on Thursday, against the Kenora Thistles.

Norman Wild host Central Plains Capitals

The Norman Wild host the Central Plains Capitals this weekend.

 

The first game is tomorrow at 7:30 at the CA Nesbitt Arena. They’ll face off again on Sunday at 10:30am.

Northstars hoping for first win of the season this weekend

The Norman Northstars are hoping to turn things around on the road this weekend, after a winless home opener.

 

Tonight they face the Central Plains Capitals. Tomorrow they’re off to Parkland to face the Rangers, and they wrap up their trip on Sunday when they go head to head with the Southwest Cougars. 

RDPC senior girls volleyball team wins championship in Swan River

The RD Parker Senior Volleyball teams were in Swan River over the weekend.

 

The boys made it to the finals where they faced the Hapnot Kopper Kings, losing in straight sets but finishing in second.

 

The girls team made it to the finals as well where they won in straight sets 25-23 and 25-16, taking home the championship.   

Norman Wild scoreless in 2 out of 4 weekend games

Tough weekend on the road for the Norman Wild.

 

On Friday they lost to the Pembina Valley Hawks 3-2.

 

On Saturday they were blanked in both their games: First to the Eastman Selects 2-0, and then to the Central Plains Capitals 6-0.

 

They finished on Sunday, losing to the Interlake Lightning, 5-3.

Norman Northstars winless after home opener weekend

The Norman Northstars end the weekend winless.

 

They hosted the Brandon Wheatkings for their home opener on Saturday.

 

The Wheatkings blanked the Northstars 5-0 and on Sunday’s rematch, the Wheatkings beat the Northstars 7-2.

Northstars home opener this weekend

The Norman Northstars hit the ice this weekend for their home opener.

 

They host the Brandon Wheat Kings tomorrow at 7:30pm at the CA Nesbitt Arena.

 

They’ll face the Wheat Kings again on Sunday at 1:30pm.

Norman Northstars lose in OT against Interlake Lightning

The Norman Northstars opened the season on the road this weekend.

 

On Friday they lost to the Winnipeg Trashers 8-0. Saturday they faced the Eastman Selects and were able to get a few goals in, but not enough with the game ending at 9-3. Yesterday’s game against the Interlake Lightning was a close one, going to overtime, but the Northstars fell 4-3.

 

The Northstars next game is their home opener, this weekend on Saturday and Sunday against the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Norman Wild lose on the road

The Norman Wild were on the road over the weekend.

 

On Friday they lost 4-0 to the Yellowhead Chiefs. Saturday they fell to the Westman Wildcats 3-1. Sunday they lost to the Wildcats against, 5-0.

 

Next game for the Wild isn't until October 17, at home.

RD Parker hosts soccer zones

RD Parker is hosting zone 11 boys and girls soccer championship today and tomorrow.

 

Schools competing include Helen Betty Osborne Huskies, OLC, Hapnot Kopper Kings, Otter Nelson River Nikiks, Chemawawin, and FMS.

 

Games take place at Burntwood Field.

First game for the Northstars

The Norman Northstars hit the ice tonight for their first game of the regular season.

 

They face against the Winnipeg Trashers at 7:30pm in an away game. Tomorrow they’ll be in Beausejour facing the Eastman Selects. Their last game for the weekend is on Sunday in Teulon against the Interlake Lightning.

 

This is the 31st season for the Northstars.
