45th annual Munn Cup this weekend

The 45th annual Munn Cup kicks off this morning.

The first game will see Wabowden face the Aeros at 10am in the CA Nesbitt Arena with the opening ceremony tomorrow at 12:30pm.

Norway House, originally set to play, is no longer scheduled this weekend. It's believed the team pulled out after a game against the Thompson King Miners last weekend turned violent on the ice and in the stands.

Suspensions have been handed out, and the RCMP is investigating according to a statement from Mayor Dennis Fenske.
